goodbye, flowers. both inside
... and outside.
goodbye local fruit...
... and long breakfasts on the porch.
goodbye, idyllic afternoons spent lying on the ground with nothing to do but...
... watch clouds charge by like horses in slow motion through the blue sky behind green leaves.
goodbye, sandy toes and weekly trips to Presque Isle.
goodbye, sweet summer
and oh,
welcome, fall!

Hi Becca,
Found your blog by clicking on "next blog". Very lovely. Those peaches sure look yummy, but what's that in the bowl with the peaches? Doesn't look like it came from the milk jar sitting next to it. Just curious. I hate to see summer go, too.
Blessings, Charlene
Thanks for visiting my blog, Charlene!
The peaches were scrumptious, and a lot of them ended up in my freezer for a taste of summer in the dead of winter. :) The picture is a bowl of oatmeal with peaches on top. One of my comfort foods. There is milk in the bowl, but it's a little masked by brown sugar melted all over the top.
Ahh, mystery solved! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have to go now and eat a bowl of oatmeal with peaches and brown sugar....
